GRBG Association
The GRBG is a community-based organization. It is not a national Botanical Garden and is not funded by SANBI or NBI. The GRBG is funded largely by the surrounding communities, mainly in the form of sponsors, donations and the volunteering of time and expertise.
An Association member is anyone from anywhere, who would like to help the Herbarium and Garden become a really first class resource for; creating environmental awareness; for environmental education; and as recreational facility for the people of George, the Southern Cape, the rest of South Africa, as well as the rest of the world.
How to become an Association member
The GRBG Association was established in 2010 and we now have over 250 paid up members. To become a member will cost you R40.00/year (R60.00/couple/year) this can be paid at our offices or can be paid directly into our bank account. To remain a paid up member subs need to be paid by February each year.
