The Welcome Garden at the entrance
First impressions should make an impact and set the tone for what lies ahead. The Outeniqua mountains form a magnificent backdrop to the Botanical Garden and their soft colours, mauve, pink, white and blue are reflected in the shrubs and flowers in the Welcome garden.

We want to create an ambience of peace and tranquillity so that you can relax and enjoy the garden and the wonderful views. We try to grow a variety of fynbos so that the flowering periods are staggered to ensure that there will always be some colour in the garden.

Unfortunately fynbos has a 5-6 year life span so that there will be bare patches when plants are replaced. We hope that you will enjoy the garden and take away many happy memories.
