Garden Roots Expo

The Garden Route Botanical Garden is hosting the very first Garden Roots Expo from Friday 26th October 8:30 —5:00 and Saturday 27th October 8:30 —2:30.

This is planned to be a yearly event and focuses on making your garden your piece of Shangri-La. It includes our Annual Spring sale at the Nursery where really affordable indigenous plants are on sale. The annual Wildflower Show done in conjunction with the George Flowers Arrangers who helped make last year’s show spectacular. Also on view this year will be mini-gardens (reminiscent of the Chelsea Flower Show) created by some of the prominent landscapers and nurseries from the Garden Route to showcase their work. Live music will be on offer throughout the day by local musicians and a themed art exhibition will be held – focussing on nature and plants/animals. As this region of the country is not named the Garden Route for nothing, we hope to have visitors gasping in awe at what can be achieved even in small gardens. Talks on garden ideas and an engaging guest speakers will also be on the agenda, while the hards of gardening such as pots, paving and other gardening paraphernalia will also be showcased.

We hope to show how everyone can create their own piece (peace) of heaven, no matter what the size of your garden.
